When we talk about whole sale shopping, probably the 2 places that will come into your mind will either be Wu Fen Pu 五分埔 in Taipei, Taiwan or Dongdaemun Market in Seoul, Korea. Little do people know that we have our very own fashion wholesale centre here in Singapore as well.

City Plaza is the place. This place will be quite well known for local blog shops who gets some of their stuff from here to sell online. Shops here mostly sells ladies fashion. From dresses to bags to shoes and you can even customized your own gown here. As this is a wholesale center, you will only get your money worth when you buy in bulk. Most of the time, anything from 3 pieces above will be considered bulk and the shop owners are willing to lower the price to wholesale pricing.

Monday is the busiest day of the week. Most of the new stocks comes in on this day. That is also why lots of retailers likes to come and top up their own stock on Mondays. Depending on shops, the items can be coming in from Korea, Taiwan or China etc. So if you feel that you are up for some serious shopping at wholesale rates, feel free to pop by and have a go at it. For once you need not burn a huge hole in the pocket getting somethings you like.

Wat's there to do? Get Messy at The Cajun Kings!

To be honest, this was being source by my wife and it was her treat. She knows that I enjoy exploring new food and experiences so she feel this was a good match. Boy she was right. The setting and experience in this restaurant is definitely not your usual sit and dine venue.  Everything that greeted us give you the subtle message of it's ok to get messy. Looking at those diners that has it going, I know it's going to be "finger linking good" literally.

The menu was simple. You just need to choose the main, your seasoning and the kind of Spice level which you can handle. Sides are optional so depending on yourself. 

 For Lobster lover, try and go during Wednesday. This is when they have the $50/lobster special. Other days, the same lobster is going for Market Price. You pay for the weight that you got. Their signature would be the Dungeness Crab and the Lobster. The staff there will be able to recommend you the kind of Seasoning best to go with the main you have chosen.

Once you placed your orders, they will start to prepare for your meal. I've chosen the crab and the lobster so they starts to bring in the tool for my meal. Yes, that's a mallet that you see there. Plastic aprons are also given to shield you from the flying sauces and shells. Till this point, I think we can conclude that it's not really a good place for first date. More like a gathering place where you can get comfortable and dirty without worries.

First up was the Andouille Sausage. The taste was ok though not really to my liking. My wife enjoys it more than me.

Next up would be the Dungenss Crab. It comes in a huge plastic bag that has been filled with the sauce of your choice. The sides are all mixed in as well. The Crab is huge. This is not the typical crabs that we eat in the Chinese Restaurant so do not be shock. To eat it, you will just have to be barbaric and start malleting it away. That's the fun part of it as well. Hammering and digging out the sweet flesh.

The other dish will be the Lobster and yes we went on a Wednesday. So this huge guy just cost us $50. How often do you get to have such a large Lobster at just $50. I must say this is my favorite dish for the night. The Lobster is fresh and the meat is sweet. Goes very well with the recommended sauce. The outcome?

A well dissected Lobster. If you like roes, they have a lot.  Overall a well satisfied meal with a nice experience of hammering the food and looking at how others are doing it. A piece of advice, just wack. Half strength just don't cut it.

Wat's there to do? Go Ice Art 2013/2014!

Have you wonder when this burning weather is going to be over. It's so hot and the occasional rain is just like a few droplets which makes the whole temperature raises even more. We should start doing some rain dance. This scorching weather makes going out door a think twice action. Luckily there are still some places other than the shopping centers where we can enjoy yet it's away from the sun.

Check out Ice Art 2013/2014. A ice sculpture exhibition where the organizers managed to lower the temperature in the hall to a wooping -15 degree Celsius.  It's freezing! No joke, it's not some air con environment with some cold air blowing. It's freezing your ass off as if you are in a freezer.

Rent one of their jackets if you do not have any winter wear with you. Gloves are complimentary and its a must.

There is a Ice Bar right beside it. This do not need any tickets and they got a drinking area where is just as cold as the exhibition. The fun thing about the bar is that you get to drink beer from a mug made of Ice. Finish drinking and you can smash it on the wall.

Wat's there to do? Go i Light Marina Bay 2014!

Thinking of what can we do during one of the evening in March? How about popping by Marina Bay Water Front to take a look at the #i Light Marina Bay sustainable light art festival.

There are a total of 28 innovative and environmentally sustainable light art installations from around the world. A lot of these art pieces are interactive so kids and adult can both have fun playing with them.

Unless it's a fragile piece of art, else there are no barriers that separate you and them. You can go right up to them and touch. 

One of the very popular exhibition was The Pool. The lights will just keep changing colors are the person steps on them. It's quite hard to resist the temptation to go on and start stepping around. 

 The only thing that you need to take note would be the Haze that's coming in. It'll be good if  you can check the PSI level before heading there if you are worried. Else just drink plenty of water as its really hot these days.

When you are tired, you can always chill inside MBS or the Esplanade. So nothing to worry about.
